I enjoyed being a part of the most recent show at Takoma station. Afton staff are very proffessional and driven when it comes to organization and business. I appreciate the help with show booking and would like to personally thank Zach Lincoln and Kemet for making the experience a great one. Great job.
Afton's efficiency, standards and professionalism are par for the course. The bases have all been covered when it comes to check-ins, artist payment, show times and the organization of bands with alike genres, while at the same time having a variety. This company is helping local artists everywhere to gain exposure, market themselves and truly get somewhere with their passion.
Afton has been very helpful for me as an unsigned solo artist looking for shows to play. Thanks to them I have been booked for shows and played in front of audiences that otherwise would not have been available to me. That said, I have yet to see any of the promotion promised by Afton; even fans who asked to receive emails about my upcoming shows when buying tickets through Afton's website have not heard anything until I told them about the shows myself. However, besides that, playing the occasional Afton show and making $1 off of every ticket I sell is a significant improvement over the zero shows I would be playing without Afton.
Overall, Afton and Amy K**** (booking rep) and Chris (show manager), have been very instrumental in helping with us getting some good performances in, at venues allocated in Houston. It would be nice for them to book as at more popular times and higher-up venues--Numbers Nightclub is one they do that is nice, but there are also: White Oak Music Hall, Cullen Music Hall at the University of Houston, and the House of Blues, just inside Houston. Helping with the advertising and spreading *********'s name based on her great attributes would also be nice, in addition to helping/booking her at great venues and upcoming concerts (such as Houston Summer Press Fest, the Austin concerts with other great artists/names).
